Why do you pay a lot more money for coffee in 5 star hotel than in ordinary coffee house, you don't seem to complain then. The hotel also includes the charge for their ambiance management and brand doesn't it. Gucci And Prada keep their prices steep. Hell! Rolex watches are costly as hell. The reason is simple, It's called Brand! Why is right for all these but wrong when Apple does it.
Brand is something that defines the status of a person. a rich man will eat same food as poor wear same thing called clothes like poor, brand helps in justifying that status. A rich man need to feel rich and wants to show off their status that's how the world works
Apple is a such a brand so it's totally justified to sell an over priced watch. Nobody is forcing you to buy Apple "OverPrcied" watch but those who like to maintain their high profile status will.. The obvious point of over pricing watch is to maintain that brand. Why do you think all those Rolls Royce cars costs so much ? cause if they don't price it high every one would be able to afford it and the car would become common.If one is rich and the other isn't and they both drive the same car then what would be the benefit of having all the money that rich man has.That's why their are things in this world that are over priced to make those rich feel satisfied.
Stop looking for certainty cause this is an uncertain world. Reality is just simple Reality it doesn't have to be fair.Apple is a Brand, They worked hard to make it a brand and so they have the right to OverPrice their watch as they see fit.
