The best ever crime drama series written by Nic Pizzolatto aired it first episode on January 12,2014 at HBO. The First season had an excellent cast Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as the lead detectives who were able to portrait amazing image of the characters.

The Story was beautifully directed on screen which made it hard for viewers to turn their attention away. McConaughey played Detective Rustin "Rust" Cohle and Harrelson played Martin "Marty" Hart. Both were able to portrait the perfect image of their characters which played an important role in making the show a success. The series involve content that advise viewers discretion,Cary Joji Fukunaga had a difficult task of directing such an intense show. Cary had the cast and the story now it was on him to make the show worth watching and he did what no other could have done. The best thing about a show isn't its cast nor even its story but the direction, a good story can be turned into nothing if the direction is not good and a crappy story can win awards if filmed right.Director need to make the show that could lure the viewers and keep their mind invested as long as the show goes on.
Season 1
True Detective Season 1 first premiered on received amazing response from viewers. the story takes place in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita, which destroyed many of old case files. It's when Rust And Marty are summoned by Detective Maynard Gilbough (Potts) and Thomas Papania (Kittles) over the Dora Lange murder Investigation in '95. Rust and Marty are debriefed one by one on the matter where the walk us through the events that led up to closer of case. Its been over a decade since Rust and Marty saw each other since they had a fall out due to Rust's physical relation with marty's wife.The investigation of murder involved acts that could lead Rust and Marty to prison and could jeopardize the whole investigation. When they are called upon to be debriefed the both faces the fear of one turning on the other.The case however remains unsolved till the date, it's when Maynard and Thomas confront them with new leads, Rust and Marty get back to gather to solve the case once and for all as they now have new insights and lead.

The long wait in the release of season 2 and it's fact triggered a series of speculations and rumors involving the cast of season 2. Learning that the cast has been completely changed it took a lot of hit but a little after fans adjusted to the fact that new cast also seems to be promising. Season 2 face a huge pressure as the Season 1 git the hopes of fan high up,which removed the middle ground for show to stand.This season isn't gonna be good either it'll be a epic success or epic fail.
